Compromise Breeds Compromise
Someone figured out that. “If you see one mouse, chances are you have 33.076923076923 more.” And the .077 mouse is more alarming then the rest because it is a mouse in progress. That’s how they all start and then they grow into full blown mouse factories. I was having a hard time with Ab Riper X today possibly because I did Abs/Core Plus yesterday. Anyway as I was getting through and I thought I could just skip one of the exercises and make it easier and that’s when this thought came to me. Compromise breeds compromise, if you just let one or two of the little ones in then they get together and pretty soon you have more compromise than you can count. It starts by skipping a set then you miss a workout here and there and then a couple of days and then a week or two. When you compromise once then you tend to compromise more and pretty soon you’re like a ship ashore. That’s why it’s important to do your best and especially when you don’t feel like it. Some days are better than others and it’s on the others that the compromise will try to creep in. If you have a mouse infestation problem the first thing to do is to block their entry points. If you don’t then you can trap them all day and they will keep moving in and breeding faster than you can catch em. So if you keep catching yourself compromising it’s because you have an open mind to it. You might not ‘want to’ but before can deal with it you will have to remove its entry option. You have to make a decision beforehand that you will “do your best and forget the rest” it may not be a ‘perfect’ workout but a workout without compromise will eventually be perfect you. You know you can do it, if you will, then you will find a way. So just put in the DVD and push play and push through it. It’ll be over before you know it and you’ll be glad you did. Then psych yourself up for your next workout so when the time comes you’ll already be ready. Living without compromise may be hard but it’s still easier than living with it.
