Do You Got the Guts?

Count the cost and prepare to pay before you ever take the first step the first day. Prepare not only to pay but to persevere in paying until you get the goal. If you’re not completely committed your resolve is weak and your outlook bleak. You have to take the time to become confident, convicted, convinced that you can do it, “so help me God!” and say, “ I commit, I will not quit, no matter what!” When you decide you want to gain ground you’re in for a fight. The chronic condition will mock you and say, “Don’t start something that you can’t finish!” And the fear of failure will chime in, “here we go again.” And the old saying is true, “no guts no glory.” Because anyone can start a fight but if you don’t have the intestinal fortitude to finish you will fail. You can be as intense as you want in the beginning but it won’t matter if you get your head beat in at the end. You’ve seen people start things with great enthusiasm over and over but never win. It would be better to start out slow and increase little by little because endurance is more important than intensity. You need to take the time to get the guts before you go. Simulate the situation, understand the adversity and pay the price and become mentally tough before you begin. See yourself absolutely committed and in no way acquitted from the promises that you’ve made to yourself and God. When you finally get the guts to persevere through all the pain and ruts then God will help you get the glory. But how can He help a quitter or a bench sitter? You can pray for God to give you victory and He will strengthen you with might but you still have to fight the fight and fight it to the finish. So everyday as you pray and fellowship with God you are strengthened from within then you take His grace and persevere and win. And when you will not quit nor draw back you’ll eventually overcome every attack. When you have the supremacy before you go your old weak self you’ll overthrow and the glory of God will soon show! So get the guts and go!

Heb 10:35-39
5 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

37 "For yet a little while,
And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.
38 Now the just shall live by faith;
But if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him."

39 But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.
NKJV

Heb 10:35-39
35 So don't throw it all away now. You were sure of yourselves then. It's still a sure thing! 36 But you need to stick it out, staying with God's plan so you'll be there for the promised completion.

37 It won't be long now, he's on the way;
he'll show up most any minute.
38 But anyone who is right with me thrives on loyal trust;
if he cuts and runs, I won't be very happy.

39 But we're not quitters who lose out. Oh, no! We'll stay with it and survive, trusting all the way.
MES

PIE90 Scripture:

Heb 10:35-36
Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward.
36 For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.

BONK!

Bad health decisions are like Honkey Tonkin and when you get done you’ll be a bonkin. I didn’t eat well this weekend and no surprise today I felt weak and could hardly exercise. This is called bonking and when it happens you’ll be a droopin and feel like pukin. There’s only one thing left to do take a break and then press on through. Today you might not feel like mighty Hulk but just don’t quit and pout and sulk. Just keep on going and follow through there’s only a few more moves to do. And let this remind you to eat well today because if you don’t this is the price you’ll pay.

1 Cor 9:24-27
24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

Exorcise Weakness

If you want to be healthy you first need a healthy mind. You will need to strengthen your will and decide to make exercise part of your lifestyle. It’s not just something you do for season but it must become a regular part of your life. Like sleep and eating, exercise is not optional and you can always find time to do it. If you go for more than a couple of days without these essential elements you will start to get weak. We were made to move and you either use it or lose it. People that sit around too much get crotchety, cramped and cranky. Lazy people usually don’t feel good. And if you don’t get some kind of exercise at least three or four times a week you qualify as lazy. “Yea, but I don’t have time!” This is the great lie of the lame. Everybody has the same amount of time everyday some are just weaker willed than others when it comes to physical activity so they use this excuse. I hope this makes you mad enough to get up off your well developed rear end and do something about it. Or you can just sit around and be a lame weakling and hasten the day of your death.

If you will decide to “Just do it!” God will help you and I will too! And if you don’t I’ll be here to pray for you because you’ll probably be sick soon. Why should God help you take care of your body when you won’t even take care of it yourself? When you reap the consequences of a lazy lifestyle and then ask God to help you what do you think He’s going to do? I would say that He’s going to attempt to correct the root of the problem and help you change your manner of life. If you’re a bad steward of your body and expect God to heal what you daily destroy that’s just dumb. He will not take up the slack where you lack the conviction to do it for yourself.

However when you do decide to do His will and be healthy then He will supernaturally supply all the grace you need to succeed. It’s an everyday and lifetime decision to cooperate with Him and then you’ll walk in His provision. I know it’s hard but not as hard as being unhealthy. And the bottom line is that your body is His temple so will you glorify Him with it or be a reproach? I say it’s time to exorcise weakness and walk in Gods ways!

1 Cor 6:19-20
19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

Get Fit Physically and Financially!

Okay, here’s the deal, and what a deal it is!

The Bottom Line: (I’m putting it at the top in case you don’t get to the bottom…)

You can get an exercise program to help you get in shape for less than it costs to join a gym for one month.
Excellent Programs - $40 and up https://extranet.securefreedom.com/MillionDollarBody/csShopping/ShoppingCart.asp?Cat=&ProductID=

You can also join an online community for free and get access to health and nutrition information.
http://teambeachbody.com/signup

You can get in excellent shape and lose weight at home by exercising AND supplementing your nutrition for about $40 to $150 a month.

For $2.99/week you can become a full member of an online fitness club and get access to expert advice from personal trainers on exercise and nutrition. http://teambeachbody.com/signup

If you get involved and work the proven programs as a business it pays for itself.
You can become a fitness coach and own your own home business for an initial cost of $39.95 and then only $14.95/mo. https://teambeachbody.com/signup/-/signup/coach/21846

Facts about coaching - http://teambeachbody.com/coach/faq

If you are diligent you will make money losing weight and getting in shape, while helping others do the same!

You can check out my success story and see for yourself.
www.fit444.com My coach name is Rev712 and my coach ID# is 21846

So what’s the total cost to do it right?
• The initial price of the exercise program you pick: $40-$120 or more if you go “Deluxe.”
(About the same as a gym initiation or enrollment fee.)
• Equipment: $0-100 depending on the program.
• Vitamins, Nutrition and Performance Products: $25-$200/mo.
(What do you spend on junk food every month?)
• Time and Effort: Consistency

So you could get started on a proven fitness program for an initial investment as low as $40 and 30 min./day, or $80 and 10 min./day, or $120 and 90 min/day. Or more, it's up to you. It's still less time and money than most gym memberships. Average in about $65/month for vitamins and nutrition supplements from money you're spending anyway on “some” kind of food.

The cost of becoming a Beachbody coach is:
$39.95 initial registration.
$14.95/mo. membership.
As a coach, you get 25% off all the Beachbody products and 15-25% commission off all the products that you sell through your web site.
You also get team cycle bonuses if you stay “active” with a product value of $50 or more per month. This is easy to do, especially if you are buying products for yourself. You might as well buy them from yourself!

I have found that with a little time and effort that you can get fit physically and financially for about $70 per month. Yes, you will have to work. Do you get paid without going to your present job? And how do you like your present job? If you work this program you will stay in shape and help others and make money while doing it! You can’t beat that!

More reasons to try it out…

You can get an exercise program and get in shape for less than it costs to join a gym for one month. The average gym enrollment fee is $40-$100/mo., with a monthly membership cost of $35-$40/mo. You would probably have to pay at least $75 to get started at a gym, not to mention the price of gas and the extra time it takes to go to the gym.
I can get you started and help you with a program for less than that and you can use it for as long as you want. The longer you do it the less it costs. You can also join the online club for free and get 24/7 access to health and nutrition information.
You can get in excellent shape and lose weight at home by exercising AND supplementing your nutrition for about $40 to $150 a month. I would bet this is less than most people spend on junk food.
For $12.95/mo. you can become a full member of the online club and get access to expert advice from personal trainers on exercise and nutrition. How much would that information cost you if you had to pay a trainer or nutritionist in your area?
You can become a fitness coach and own your own home business for an initial cost of $39.95 and then only $14.95/mo. The benefits are more than I want to list here but you can see them for yourself at http://teambeachbody.com/coach/be-a-coach . What kind of business could you start with less overhead than this?
You can get in shape, help people and have your own home business for less than the average price of a gym membership! Beachbody hosts the web site for you and takes care of all the transactions and shipping. The company spends over $100 million to advertise their products. You’ve probably seen the commercials for P90X, Turbo Jam, Hip Hop Abs, Insanity and other programs. These are hot-selling, proven programs. As soon as someone buys a product Beachbody “gives” the customers to their active coaches. All you have to do is stay active, recruit and maintain two active coaches, and you will have a steady supply of customers generated by someone else’s advertising dollars! Coaches also get 25% off all the Beachbody Products!

If you get involved in this business and work its proven programs it will pay for itself.

Here’s an interesting article from The New York Post – WHAT GYMS REALLY COST http://www.nypost.com/p/lifestyle/health/what_gyms_really_cost_EcG1NwJGWTIWi0wOoXHxeO/3
These are big bucks in my book and it looks like New York is a seriously good place for a Beachbody business!

If you are diligent you will make money losing weight and staying in shape and help others do the same!

You will also join the fight for the health of our nation. The consequences of obesity are costing billions of dollars and taking a huge toll on peoples' lives.

You can do it! If you will. Or you can do nothing and stay in your current condition.

Know It and Show It!

Fear to SAY, “I Love You” is an indication of insecurity. God LOVES YOU! He’s not afraid to show it! Know it & you’ll be able love like Him!

When I was a kid every night before I went to bed my parents would say, “Goodnight, I love you, Sweet dreams!” then I would repeat the same. It was a very simple exchange that I believe has helped me very much. We had our “family challenges” over the years but there was never any question if we were loved. We said it every day and this produced a sense of security. This contributed to my confidence and ability to love others because when you’re loved and you know it you’re not afraid to show it.

When you know that you’re loved then you’re secure and you realize relationships are of much greater value than your behavior. Your behavior should not change your relationships but your relationships should change your behavior. When people “mess up” it won’t ruin your relationships because they’re rooted in love. You have the security to make things right knowing that YOU won’t be rejected or reject others because of bad behavior. You can take the attitude, “I can love YOU without always loving what you DO.” You are loved because of WHO you are not WHAT you DO and I can’t change YOU, so choose to love YOU, is what “I DO.” Thus love will change your relationships and make them sure. Then you’ll stop trying to get the love you’ve already got but begin to give it, this is the life of love and you can start to live it.

This is where God comes in because “loving the unlovely” ain’t ever easy. God SHOWED us how much He loved us even though we didn’t “deserve” any of it. We can say, “God SHOWED me and now I’ll SHOW you!” Think about it and let these scriptures speak to you…

Rom 5:6-9
6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
NKJV

Rom 5:6-8
6 Christ arrives right on time to make this happen. He didn't, and doesn't, wait for us to get ready. He presented himself for this sacrificial death when we were far too weak and rebellious to do anything to get ourselves ready. And even if we hadn't been so weak, we wouldn't have known what to do anyway. 7 We can understand someone dying for a person worth dying for, and we can understand how someone good and noble could inspire us to selfless sacrifice. 8 But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him.
MES

John 3:16
16 For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
TLB

GOD LOVED YOU SO MUCH that He sent His only Son to die for YOU! And gave you the right, power and authority to become one of His very own children!

John 1:12
12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: NKJV

If you haven’t yet RECEIVED Jesus you can pray and receive Him as your Lord TODAY! And how wonderful it is to become part of the family and have the everloving God as your own heavenly Father! AND THAT’S NOT ALL!!! …but those who are His will also spend eternity with Him!

1 John 3:1
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! NIV

THIS IS SO AWESOME I CAN HARDLY STAND IT!!

Eph 2:4-5
4 But God — so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us,
5 Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved ( delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ's salvation).
AMP

“…the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us!” Now that’s what I’m talking about!

Jer 31:3 NKJV
The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying:
"Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.

Jer 31:3 GNB
…I have always loved you, so I continue to show you my constant love.

Jer 31:3 MSG
…I've never quit loving you and never will. Expect love, love, and more love!

Look to the mountains and the entire creation, it all may be shaken and taken but God’s love for you is greater and can never be removed!

Isa 54:10
10 Though the mountains be shaken
and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken
nor my covenant of peace be removed,"
says the Lord, who has compassion on you.
NIV

Isa 54:10
10 For even if the mountains walk away
and the hills fall to pieces,
My love won't walk away from you,
my covenant commitment of peace won't fall apart."
The God who has compassion on you says so.
MES

Isa 54:10
10 For the mountains may move
and the hills disappear,
but even then my faithful love for you will remain.
My covenant of blessing will never be broken,"
says the Lord, who has mercy on you.
NLT

Isa 54:10
10 The mountains and hills may crumble,
but my love for you will never end;
I will keep forever my promise of peace."
So says the Lord who loves you.
GNT

YOU ABSOLUTELY ARE LOVED WITH EVERLASTING LOVE AND THERE’S NOTHING THAT CAN TAKE IT AWAY FROM YOU!

Rom 8:35-39
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:

"For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
NKJV

Rom 8:38-39
38 For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels won't, and all the powers of hell itself cannot keep God's love away. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, 39 or where we are-high above the sky, or in the deepest ocean-nothing will ever be able to separate us from the love of God demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ when he died for us.
TLB

Rom 8:38-39
38 For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers,

39 Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
AMP

Rom 8:38-39
38 I'm absolutely convinced that nothing — nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, 39 high or low, thinkable or unthinkable — absolutely nothing can get between us and God's love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.
MES

WHOOOOHOOOO!!!!

So where does this leave us? LOVED! If we will receive His love then we can give His love. If we open up our heart to Him He will fill it and OVERFLOW it with His love. And when KNOW we’re loved we will be secure and then our love will be the overflow and outflow of God’s love and we’ll be able to love like God loves! And when you’re loved and you know then you’re not afraid to show it!

1 John 4:7-12
7 My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. 8 The person who refuses to love doesn't know the first thing about God, because God is love — so you can't know him if you don't love. 9 This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. 10 This is the kind of love we are talking about — not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they've done to our relationship with God.

11 My dear, dear friends, if God loved us like this, we certainly ought to love each other. 12 No one has seen God, ever. But if we love one another, God dwells deeply within us, and his love becomes complete in us — perfect love!
MES

1 John 4:12-16
12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
NKJV

PIE90 Scripture:

AMP

1 John 4:7
Divinely loved ones, let us be habitually loving one another with a divine and self-sacrificial love, because this aforementioned love is out of God as a source; and everyone who is in this manner habitually loving, out of God has been born with the present result that he is regenerated and knows God in an experiential way.

1 John 4:7
7 My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God.

On Guard!

Are you ready with the Word like a soldier with a sword? You should be able to instantly declare it from your heart as quickly as drawing a sword from a sheath. “ Preach the word; be INSTANT in season, out of season” (2 Tim 4:2KJV) If you have to “go looking” for a scripture when the enemy attacks he has found you unarmed and is ready to put you in bondage. It’s easier to do what it takes to stay free than to try and escape the chains put on you by wrong thinking. If you think wrong you’ll make wrong decisions and wrong decisions will put you in some kind of prison.

“It was just a small error in judgment the soldier said, when we were attacked I went looking for the battle manual.” Didn’t you know what to do? “No I just figured I’d look it up if something came up that I couldn’t handle.”

If you’re a Christian you will get in a fight. It’s called the fight of faith and your skill with the scripture will determine your quality of life. The enemy strikes at random and is ready to “kill, steal and destroy” whenever he can. He’s looking for the unarmed trying to find them without conviction. He wants to catch you “napping” or chance upon the weak and feeble like sheep having no shepherd. Are you lackadaisical lunchmeat?

The Word is the source of success, the provision for life and the armory of your defense. You have to “know it by heart” for your personal armory is only full of what you know. When you abide in the Word it’s your mighty fortress and when the Word abides in then you are equipped for battle. But if you don’t “abide” but just seek God when you “need” Him you are like and unarmed peasant running in and out of the castle in the midst of a war - an easy target and pleasant potential POW. If you’re not ready the enemy is and it’s slaves he craves.

So “On Guard” - be ready! The Word of God will make and keep you free. Abide in it, keep it, learn how to wield it and it will keep and watch over you!

Ps 91:1-2
91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust."
NKJV

PIE90 Scripture:

1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
NKJV

1 Peter 5:8
8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
NIV

1 Peter 5:8-9
8 Be careful-watch out for attacks from Satan, your great enemy. He prowls around like a hungry, roaring lion, looking for some victim to tear apart.
TLB

1 Peter 5:8-9
8 Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.

9 Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset — rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same ( identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world.
AMP

1 Peter 5:8-11
8 Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. 9 Keep your guard up. You're not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It's the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith. 10 The suffering won't last forever. It won't be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ — eternal and glorious plans they are! — will have you put together and on your feet for good. 11 He gets the last word; yes, he does.

John 8:31-32
31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

John 8:36
36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
NKJV

1 Cor 15:57-58
57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Will God Enable What You Disable?

God’s will is good health but we have to choose to do His will or we are undoing it.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
3 John 2 KJV

Webster’s defines health as physical and mental well-being; freedom from disease, pain, or defect; normalcy of physical and mental functions and soundness.

God created our bodies to heal themselves and thank Him for that! He wants us well, to be well and do well just like any good Father desires for His children. So if good health His will why are so many unwell? One of the main reasons is because we need to learn to cooperate and take care of ourselves. Making poor health choices is rebelling against God’s will. Our body is His temple and He doesn’t want it open to destructive elements or neglected by lack of maintenance.

He is so serious about us being in good condition that He sent His only Son Jesus to die to redeem us from the curse of sickness. In the light of that if we do things that we know cause poor health then we mock God’s Son and His sacrifice. Destroying our mind and body and then asking God to fix it is ignorant. It’s like driving down an icy road at ninety-nine miles per and praying that we don’t wreck. You will crash and it’s not God’s fault!

And the same is true with your health, if you stay on the wrong road you will end up in the Hospital. God is merciful but He wants to help us change our ways so that He can change our lives. When your “sin” causes you to reap the consequences of the curse you can go to God and He wants to heal you but you will probably need to “repent.” That means to change your mind and go the other way because if you keep going down the wrong road and wrecking your health the answer is not to keep praying for God to heal you the answer is to turn around and find another way.

The same is true in every area mentally, physically, financially, relationally – we can’t expect to be rich if we’re making poor choices. If we’re bad stewards of our bodies and believe God will take up the slack and deliver us from the consequences then we’re dumb and deceived and that’s really the root of the problem. If we want to be healthy first we will need to stop being stupid and destroying our bodies. God is ready, willing and able to do miracles but we can’t expect Him “make exceptions” for us and enable us to be irresponsible and not have to deal with any consequences. That would be like an alcoholic kid going to his father and saying, “I know you love me so give me a lifetime supply of liquor and make sure I don’t get in any trouble, but if I do make sure to come and bail me out quick so I can get back to drinking!” This is exactly how many people are with their health and they want miracles but the main miracle that God wants to provide is the power to change our destructive habits.

If we cooperate with God we will operate in His power, and if we don’t we won’t. If we choose His ways we will walk in His will, and if we don’t we won’t. If we take care of our bodies God will help us, and if we don’t He won’t. Because why should He do for us what we are unwilling to at least try to do for ourselves?

John 5:1-15
5 After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 2 Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. 3 In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. 4 For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. 5 Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, "Do you want to be made well?"

7 The sick man answered Him, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me."

8 Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed and walk." 9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.

And that day was the Sabbath. 10 The Jews therefore said to him who was cured, "It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your bed."

11 He answered them, "He who made me well said to me, 'Take up your bed and walk.'"

12 Then they asked him, "Who is the Man who said to you, 'Take up your bed and walk'?" 13 But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place. 14 Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, "See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you."

15 The man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.
NKJV

John 8:1-12
But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

2 Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. 3 Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, 4 they said to Him, "Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?" 6 This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.

7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first." 8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, "Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?"

11 She said, "No one, Lord."

And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."

12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."
NKJV

PIE90 Scripture:

John 5:11, 14
11 He answered them, "He who made me well said to me, 'Take up your bed and walk.'"…
... 14 Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, "See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you."

Get With the Program!

If you want your workout to work you will have to keep a schedule and if you don’t it won’t. A program without a plan is like a random road trip without a map. You’ll just end up burning a lot of gas and in some odd place where you don’t really want to be. Why waste your time? Get or make a program. Use a calendar or make a spreadsheet or whatever and write down what you will do and when you will do it. When you are committed to a schedule you will get a lot more done than without one. If you’re not a personal trainer or exercise expert let someone else do it. The Beachbody programs come with a schedule and a nutrition plan. All you need to do is commit to get fit for 6 weeks or 30, 60 or 90 days and then do it again - surely you can do that! There’s just something about getting the vision before your eyes and X-ing off the schedule. Long term success and big results come from multiplying short term success and small results. If you can just make a little progress everyday then it will increase every week, month and year! You know how fast time seems to pass so get with the program and you’ll be fit before you know it.

"Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.”

Don’t just “try” but apply! Don’t whine but shine!

Don’t just “try” but apply! Don’t whine but shine!

Fitness is like food and consistency is the key. If you miss a meal you usually don’t just skip it all together; and who goes for days on end without eating. If you will just be half as diligent with your exercise as you are with your eating you will excel. There’s no excellence without effort. You have to exert you energy for you endeavors to succeed. Don’t just “try” but apply. Don’t whine and say, “I wish, I would, I should” but say, “I will” and then do it and keep on doing it until it becomes a habit. Exercise is a vital element for every area of life. It’s like food and one way or another make sure you get enough of it. You can always find a way to work it into your schedule when you decide it’s a priority. Missed any meals lately? Are you so busy that you’ve just stopped eating? “Yea, I tried that but it just takes so much effort to plan and prepare or you have to go somewhere to eat; and it costs money and takes time, it may be good for some but not me I haven’t eaten in years….” So which areas of your life are anorexic and weak? (Spirit, soul, body, finances or relationships) It’s time to make a change and start getting the nutrition and exercise you need EVERYDAY! It’s not an option. If you’ve learned how to survive then you can do this! So find a way and make time to make it happen.

1 Thess 5:23-24
23 May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together — spirit, soul, and body — and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. 24 The One who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, he'll do it!
MES

2 Thess 1:11-12
11 Because we know that this extraordinary day is just ahead, we pray for you all the time — pray that our God will make you fit for what he's called you to be, pray that he'll fill your good ideas and acts of faith with his own energy so that it all amounts to something. 12 If your life honors the name of Jesus, he will honor you. Grace is behind and through all of this, our God giving himself freely, the Master, Jesus Christ, giving himself freely.

Get Fit – Quick!

Have you ever lost in a race with a dead man? Nope! I hope. There’s no competition because he’s just not quick. He stinks and has no coach do you? If you’re gonna get fit it starts at the core. A tree that’s dead on the inside will not be beautiful on the outside for long. But if it’s quickened from the inside out then it can stand in adversity and bear fruit. The true core of man is the spirit and it’s only quick if it has the life of God within. Don’t try to live the abundant life with no source or supply. God Himself has offered to come and live within and He’s greater than all the health products and programs that have ever been. He will literally quicken every area of your life from the inside out. If you try to do it any other way it’s like decorating dead trees. And the Christmas tree does get a lot of attention but then it goes back in the box or to the mulch pile or to be burned. But the evergreen that’s alive and thriving is on top of the mountain. So if your goal is to get fit to get attention you might be able to do it but you won’t really live in the end. But if you want everlasting life then receive Jesus and be quickened by life of Almighty God within. He will send His Spirit to coach you and make you truly alive. Listen to and follow Him and if you’re really QUICK then you will be able to GET and STAY FIT in every area of life!

Rom 8:11
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
KJV

Eph 2:1-10
1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
KJV

John 15:1-8
15 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

5 "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

Fit For Our King!

To say I’m excited today would be an understatement. I’m thrilled at what God is doing in my life and what He is showing me and leading me to do to help people. A couple of years ago as I was praying about my personal mission, vision and goals and I got a very simple statement that seems to resound in my spirit from heaven. GET FIT! God said, “GET FIT!” and that’s it. He wants us to be fit in every area of life; spirit, soul, body, financially and in our relationships. He desires for us to be whole and complete with nothing broken missing or lacking. He has blessed us with His Word and made the way by giving us His grace which enables us to “GET FIT!” The definition of FIT is - in good condition, healthy, strong, ready, qualified, equipped, outfitted. Are you ready for the coming of our King? Are you in good condition, healthy, strong, qualified, equipped and outfitted to do His will anywhere, anytime? Are you “consecrated and profitable to the Master, fit and ready for any good work.” (2 Tim 2:21b AMP) This is a tall order it’s like being a gladiator for God. We are to be victorious in every area of life and overcome and liberate people from the forces of evil. In order to do this we must train daily at “God’s Gym.” He had given us His Word and Spirit to instruct and strengthen us making us mighty to wage war and walk in His will. The Holy Spirit has been sent to help us. He is our own personal trainer who lives within. He coaches and helps us conquer all adversity. It’s good to know that God wants us fit and has made a way but then there’s the practical steps to take everyday. How do you know just what and when to do? There’s all kinds of good programs and opportunities out there but you will only succeed if you pick the ones that are right for you. How will you know? You need to pray and ask God to show you. If you try to accomplish divine fitness by mere human will you will end up disappointed. But if you get God’s help you will be able to do more and go farther that you ever thought possible. It’s by His grace and guidance not your own plans and ability that you will truly succeed and “be all you can be.”

So I have been working on fulfilling God’s mandate to “GET FIT!” and believe that now is the time to share and get others involved. I have had good success in some areas and others still need more work. I have found that I need programs and schedules for progress. God has given me a few practical application tools that work for me and I believe will work for you also as you apply them as you are led by His Spirit. I’m still praying and believing for wisdom in areas and trusting that we will get the answers as we go. I will be applying programs and schedules and starting and suggesting groups that will work on similar areas together. Join whatever God leads you to and GET FIT spirit, soul, body, financially and in your relationships. The bottom line is God said, GET FIT! And that’s it! So I‘m crying out and calling for people who want to be fit for our King! Who will join my quest and pass the test to be truly blessed and manifest all Christ’s blood possessed?

1 Tim 4:7-10
Exercise daily in God — no spiritual flabbiness, please! 8 Workouts in the gymnasium are useful, but a disciplined life in God is far more so, making you fit both today and forever. 9 You can count on this. Take it to heart. 10 This is why we've thrown ourselves into this venture so totally. We're banking on the living God, Savior of all men and women, especially believers.

Compromise Breeds Compromise

Someone figured out that. “If you see one mouse, chances are you have 33.076923076923 more.” And the .077 mouse is more alarming then the rest because it is a mouse in progress. That’s how they all start and then they grow into full blown mouse factories. I was having a hard time with Ab Riper X today possibly because I did Abs/Core Plus yesterday. Anyway as I was getting through and I thought I could just skip one of the exercises and make it easier and that’s when this thought came to me. Compromise breeds compromise, if you just let one or two of the little ones in then they get together and pretty soon you have more compromise than you can count. It starts by skipping a set then you miss a workout here and there and then a couple of days and then a week or two. When you compromise once then you tend to compromise more and pretty soon you’re like a ship ashore. That’s why it’s important to do your best and especially when you don’t feel like it. Some days are better than others and it’s on the others that the compromise will try to creep in. If you have a mouse infestation problem the first thing to do is to block their entry points. If you don’t then you can trap them all day and they will keep moving in and breeding faster than you can catch em. So if you keep catching yourself compromising it’s because you have an open mind to it. You might not ‘want to’ but before can deal with it you will have to remove its entry option. You have to make a decision beforehand that you will “do your best and forget the rest” it may not be a ‘perfect’ workout but a workout without compromise will eventually be perfect you. You know you can do it, if you will, then you will find a way. So just put in the DVD and push play and push through it. It’ll be over before you know it and you’ll be glad you did. Then psych yourself up for your next workout so when the time comes you’ll already be ready. Living without compromise may be hard but it’s still easier than living with it.

Weak Will’s Mutiny of Mind

I’m feeling much better this week after my attitude adjustment. It was a weak week last week but I have changed my mind. I’m plenty strong to do P90X+ but somewhere I let weak Will in which made me weak. Weak Will’s poor attitude was like poison sapping the strength from my ship. But I will not kowtow to weak Will or let him rise up in my mind. I will not yield to him lest he begin to manipulate my mind. Mutiny is on the horizon if I allow weak Will to steer the ship. I will stay the course and cast all scoffing thoughts and cowardly cravings for quitting off my ship. I have made a decision and I will follow through. I will do it with joy and zeal because I absolutely refuse to be overcome and ruled by weak Will. So I made weak Will walk the plank, what about you?

“Let the weak say, 'I am strong.'" (Joel 3:10b)

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Eph 6:10 NKJV

Cast out the scoffer, and contention will leave;
Yes, strife and reproach will cease.

Romanticize Don’t Agonize Your Exercise!

Ouch! I feel queasy, shaky, faint and dizzy. This was my 21st week of P90X this year and possibly the hardest one yet. Last week I was crushing the workouts and then I hit the wall. Bad rest, hectic schedule, poor diet and a weak attitude will eat your lunch. I haven’t been working out at my regular time and for me it’s quite a bit more difficult when I just throw my workout in at some random time each day. P90X is intense and so after doing the regular and then adding in P90X Plus and mixing in some of the One on One routines the novelty wears off after 20 weeks and it becomes more like work than fun. I’m already in shape so it’s harder to push for goals and it seems to takes more effort to produce less increase. The honey moon is over and it’s time to settle into the lifestyle and make it a habit. The main difficulty is not caused by the bad died and hectic schedule as much as the weak attitude. It's the same problem new couples often come to; if you’re not careful you will lose the romance. The way you think about it will either make it work or play. The activity can be the same but the attitude determines if it’s enjoyable or exhausting. Someone said, “men are like microwaves and women are like crock pots.” Women tend to romanticize ideas before they enjoy them while men seem to be ready at a moments notice. I’ve found a similar situation in fitness except it seems that with exercise both men and women need romance. In other words when I look forward to my exercise with anticipation then I tend to love and enjoy it. But if I allow myself to dread it and begin to think like a little whiney baby and “waaa, I feel like crying, and I don’t want to, and you can’t make me!” The activity may be the same but what’s often more important than the activity is the ambience preceding the activity. If you are a man and you haven’t figured this out yet this then this might help more than your physique. You have to discipline your mind and make yourself think about how much you love to exercise. LOVE EXERCISE! Are you crazy? Sure because it’s the people who romanticize about each other who are crazy about each other for a long time. Likewise I will not be able to maintain a high level of fitness and make it my lifestyle unless I make myself love it. If I romanticize I imagine a good future with love and adventure. But if I agonize I dread the pain and struggle and will try to avoid the suffering. I have determined that I must exercise but I still want to enjoy it. It’s like being married, once you’re in it it’s your choice what you make of it. But if you want to make it you will have to learn to romanticize and not agonize your exercise.

Think Yourself Strong

If you're feeling feeble just going through the motions is still better than fickle fortitude. You feed a weak will and waver when you begin to think about why you don’t want to try. But when you think yourself strong you can exorcise weakness all day long.
I did not FEEL LIKE exercising today but I did anyway because consistency is more important than intensity. I like to give 100% and do my best but today was only about 80%. I had a long, low rest, junk food filled weekend so consequently I wasn’t feeling great today. Not ill, just feeling weak and lazy and I wanted to JUST SKIP IT. But that’s not an option. Once I started going through the motions I was able to do 80% of what I felt like I could not do. The body tends to be lazy and lie to you about what it can really do. As humans we have amazing potential but if we don’t test our limits we will never know the possibilities. So what I say is once you make a commitment you DO IT and especially when you don’t feel like it. If you felt like it all the time you would not need a commitment. And even if you have a few days when you’re ‘just goin through the motions” 80% success is still better than 100% failure. The more days you skip the easier it gets to quit and then you find yourself right back where you started. So just “Push Play!” and “do your best and forget the rest” and “Git R Done!” You must resolutely decide that you will make through your program. Commit not to quit when you feel tired and weak. You know you can do it if you will set your mind to it.

Exorcise a Legion

A legion of weakness came out in drops of sweat. It wanted to stay and master me but I took authority over myself so it had to go into a bunch of pigs. It possessed the pigs and drove them to death and it will do the same to me if I let it rule my life. I make a quality decision to exercise everyday so I can exorcise weakness in every way.

There Will Be Pain

The effort you exert to be healthy is much easier to bear then the results of a poor lifestyle. You will pay the price sooner or later. You can spend your time and money exercising and eating well now or you can spend it later being prodded and examined. There will pain - there seems to be no way around it. But it's easier to endure when it's self inflicted for your own benefit rather then the kind that comes upon you by affliction. A good regimen takes discipline but it will produce life and health. And a lazy lifestyle may seem easier now but later you will reap the runaway results. You can control your pain or just procrastinate eventually it will control you. If you are a semi driver it's a hassle to check and maintain your brakes all the time but it's better than racing down the steep and hazardous mountain hoping for a runaway truck ramp. This seems to be how peoples lives go and one thing's for sure if you don't maintain you health ultimately you will find your self in an emergency situation. And when it happens it will not only affect you but everyone around you and especially the ones you love the most.

Being a Yogi Makes Your Program Easier to Bear.

Yoga? I always thought that I would be more inclined to watch Yogi Bear than go do some weird slow contorted exercise. And that's part of the problem, I've never laughed enough to develop my abs by sitting on the couch watching cartoons. I figured I'd get P90X and just "skip" the Yoga because that's not for me. But to my surprise it has become one of my favorite exercises. The program can be a bit rigorous and by the forth day every week I really need to stretch out. I always feel better after Yoga and believe it is a vital part of the whole equation. There's really nothing weird about it unless you make it so. Sometimes you just need to calm down and get the stress out of your life and you muscles so you can develop properly. I listen to Christian rock or praise and worship music while I do Yoga and I think that's a bit funny but it works for me. It's also a good time to pray and I come out of it feeling refreshed. The P90X yoga is an hour and a half which is good but I also bought Tony's One on One Yoga "Fountain of Youth" which is 45min. and seems to fit better into my schedule so I recommend it to anyone with any program. If you work it in somewhere you will get better results and feel better while you are doing it. Don't ditch Yoga because you are insecure, do it and your program will be much easier to bear.

Don't quit just modify a bit!

I've had a couple of injuries on my way through P90X cycles. One shoulder from falling of the motorcycle and now a rib from playing football with the kids. I don't like to start over so I just work through it. I have to lift less or modify but week by week I keep getting stronger. I encourage you not to quit but to modify or substitute other exercises while you recover. You can endure a "bit" of pain but if it's "sharp" you are probably just aggravating and delaying the healing.

When you start a cycle you begin to develop momentum, every day and week you miss slows you down and makes it harder to get going again. You know "An object at rest tends to stay at rest" so you really need to get in the habit of exercising very consistently. If you use injury as an excuse to take a week or two or more "off" you will stop and be temped not to start again because it's hard to move a big rock in the middle of the road. If you can't do the program you started, commit to DO SOMETHING everyday. Substitute - Walk or swim or do a different dvd. Anything to keep you in the habit and moving. That way you won't find yourself repossessed by your former lifestyle. If you don't want those who collect on bad health to empty your bank account you will have to pay the price and find a way to exorcise weakness everyday.

X- orcise Weakness

Exorcise weakness with P90X and P90X+! The little imps of weakness will try to hold you down but you can overcome. They will continually come to possess your body, but every time you decide to push play you will drive them out and stomp on their little mocking faces. Will you be possessed by lazy bad habits or will you get of your potato chip rear and cast them out?

Drive it Out!

Weakness I adjure you be thou removed! Haha - Now go Exercise!
