Do You Got the Guts?

Count the cost and prepare to pay before you ever take the first step the first day. Prepare not only to pay but to persevere in paying until you get the goal. If you’re not completely committed your resolve is weak and your outlook bleak. You have to take the time to become confident, convicted, convinced that you can do it, “so help me God!” and say, “ I commit, I will not quit, no matter what!” When you decide you want to gain ground you’re in for a fight. The chronic condition will mock you and say, “Don’t start something that you can’t finish!” And the fear of failure will chime in, “here we go again.” And the old saying is true, “no guts no glory.” Because anyone can start a fight but if you don’t have the intestinal fortitude to finish you will fail. You can be as intense as you want in the beginning but it won’t matter if you get your head beat in at the end. You’ve seen people start things with great enthusiasm over and over but never win. It would be better to start out slow and increase little by little because endurance is more important than intensity. You need to take the time to get the guts before you go. Simulate the situation, understand the adversity and pay the price and become mentally tough before you begin. See yourself absolutely committed and in no way acquitted from the promises that you’ve made to yourself and God. When you finally get the guts to persevere through all the pain and ruts then God will help you get the glory. But how can He help a quitter or a bench sitter? You can pray for God to give you victory and He will strengthen you with might but you still have to fight the fight and fight it to the finish. So everyday as you pray and fellowship with God you are strengthened from within then you take His grace and persevere and win. And when you will not quit nor draw back you’ll eventually overcome every attack. When you have the supremacy before you go your old weak self you’ll overthrow and the glory of God will soon show! So get the guts and go!

Heb 10:35-39
5 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

37 "For yet a little while,
And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.
38 Now the just shall live by faith;
But if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him."

39 But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.

Heb 10:35-39
35 So don't throw it all away now. You were sure of yourselves then. It's still a sure thing! 36 But you need to stick it out, staying with God's plan so you'll be there for the promised completion.

37 It won't be long now, he's on the way;
he'll show up most any minute.
38 But anyone who is right with me thrives on loyal trust;
if he cuts and runs, I won't be very happy.

39 But we're not quitters who lose out. Oh, no! We'll stay with it and survive, trusting all the way.

PIE90 Scripture:

Heb 10:35-36
Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward.
36 For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.
